My seam ripper is my friend. I sell my creations, mostly to friends who place custom orders, so it's even more important to me that things look good. Thanks for posting this.EverSewSweethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01567688643919848162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586072961252178800.post-77676340028898914182010-07-10T21:48:34.450-04:002010-07-10T21:48:34.450-04:00Isn't it funny the things that you notice once...Isn't it funny the things that you notice once you know how a garment should be made? Thank you for the encouragement to not be afraid to try to make clothes.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12179763360468342838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586072961252178800.post-19084474313125596542010-07-10T07:15:53.041-04:002010-07-10T07:15:53.041-04:00I have only been sewing for about a year and half ...I have only been sewing for about a year and half and I notice myself looking at seams and linings at the store. Its funny what you start to notice when you do it yourself and know what it should look like. Some of the first dresses I made are still together no holes, lost buttons, or loose seams. I have bought store items and wear a couple of times and the buttons off or a seam is coming a part.I think my main thing is I HATE to mess up. So I try to do everything perfect too.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05035658204938531384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586072961252178800.post-91154457175153534342010-07-09T21:01:22.687-04:002010-07-09T21:01:22.687-04:00Agreed. I see the machine pieced things from stores that have *issues* before too but I still can't help mentally berating myself for not being perfect.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06387604778357366261noreply@blogger.com
